Another Devastating Teen Suicide

This is unreal.
Another gay teen has taken his life after being bullied at school.
The body of 17-year-old Terrel Williams was found hanging in his closet by his mother just hours after being attacked by 5 classmates after school.
A student at Clover Park High School in Lakewood, Washington, Terrel had endured several attacks including being shoved [...]

John Stamos Was Supposed To Play Dr. Frank-N-Furter On Glee

Aw! What happened? We would have LOVED to have seen him do this!

Sources are confirming that in an original draft of The Rocky Horror Glee Show, John Stamos was meant to play the sweet tranvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter instead of Amber Riley!

Inspired choice! He would have totally rocked it!

Problem was, when the network got their hands on the first draft of the script, their fishnets got into a twist and they didn't like Stamos in the role. When asked about it, John told sources:

“I was supposed to be doing ‘Sweet Transvestite,’ but I think the network saw the script and was like, ‘Stamos in fish nets? It’s too soon!’ So they switched it up. I was bummed, because I wanted to play that part.”

We're bummed too!

It's no offense to Amber, but John really has the legs for the part! LOLs!

Would U had rather seen Uncle Jesse don the corset and stockings or are U happy they went with Amber?

What Makes A Good Bar, Pub or Nightclub?

Many collectors of art and museum artifacts will have a difficult time when it comes to managing, counting and protecting their collection, whether it's large or small, particularly if it is spread out in several countries. However, with the help of web-based RFID applications the task of managing collections will seem like a breeze. What is the difference in using RFID instead of a barcode?

Movie Review: Captain America: The First Avenger

As I mentioned earlier, I was able to attend an early screening of Captain America: The First Avenger — which doesn’t hit theaters until this Friday. From the very start, I have voiced my concern for this film because I was worried that the movie (albeit a comic book movie) would not look believable. After [...]

Last night David and I were invited to an early screening of Captain America: The First Avenger at The Grove here in LA and, as you can see from the photo below, I really got into the spirit of the evening. David and I met up with our friends Gillian and Tim who also attended the screening. My full review of the film is forthcoming but I can tell you right now … I loved Captain America entirely! For some reason, I thought it would be fun to wear a Captain America mask to the screening … in retrospect, I’m not sure it was the best idea.

While I think I rocked the Captain America shirt very well … the helmet is another story. LOL!! Ah well … ’twas fun.

Today is a bit of a sad day for me. After 3 years together, today I say goodbye to my beloved VW SUV. My car lease is up today so I’m going to turn it in and say my goodbyes. I’ve decided not to buy the car but still … I’m gonna miss my baby. Ah well, life goes on.

I hope YOU are having a Happy Hump Day!

First Look: The First Video Trailer For The Avengers Leaks To The Internets

The first trailer for next Summer’s blockbuster superhero film The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon, has mysteriously leaked its way online. It was believed that the trailer would debut first at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con next weekend but, as you can see below, the trailer was shown in at least one movie theater this weekend [...]

The TomKat family — Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Suri — spent part of their weekend in South Beach, FL chillin’ out by the pool together. As you can see from the photos below, daddy Tom spent some time teaching his TomKitten how to swim while mama Katie lounged near the pool. It looks like the fam had a blast soaking up the sun together as they relaxed on holiday.

As much grief as I like to give Tom, Katie and Suri, I’m happy to see them looking so happy. The family may have started out under very strange circumstances but they seem to have weathered the controversy just fine and have settled into a life of normalcy. I’m actually relieved that Tom isn’t spouting his craziness in public anymore (tho, he did provide amazing fodder for the blog over the years) because now I can go back to liking him again. Is that wrong? In any event, these photos of the TomKat family chillin’ out at the pool are just cute. While I’m still not 100% convinced that Suri isn’t a robot, I will say she makes a very cute little cyborg-like alien child … who is, apparently, waterproof. So darling!

Newly Single Jennifer Lopez Surfaces In Public

On Friday we learned the somewhat surprising news that Jennifer Lopez and her hubby of 7 years Marc Anthony decided to end their marriage (reportedly splitting up the weekend before). The first trailer for next Summer’s blockbuster superhero film The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon, has mysteriously leaked its way online. It was believed that the trailer would debut first at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con next weekend but, as you can see below, the trailer was shown in at least one movie theater this weekend … which was, naturally, filmed and uploaded online. The trailer has been getting yanked down but check out a (dark, shaky, kinda blurry) working embed below … while you still can.

I don’t expect this video to stay online for the entire day. All of the other embeds I’ve found have already been taken down. This clip should debut properly at Comic-Con this coming weekend. As cool as this clip is, I’m really looking forward to seeing it in high res. I love how the audience in the theater cheered at the end. When a movie trailer gets audience approval, you know you’ve done something right.

Last night David and I got to attend a performance of the amazing new off-Broadway show Sleep No More. For months now I’ve been hearing about this show and have been really anxious to see it. I purchased our tickets for last night’s show back in early June … because the rest of June and all of July had already sold out. I wouldn’t be surprised if you haven’t heard of Sleep No More, most of the buzz has been word of mouth … but I’m telling you right now, it’s an experience that you do NOT want to miss.

Sleep No More is a show loosely based on Shakespeare‘s MacBeth and is performed in an abandoned hotel in Chelsea called The McKittrick Hotel. The masked audience roams around the rooms on the different floors exploring the various sets all while the show’s actors perform in different parts of the hotel. Each person will experience the show differently, depending on what you decide to do. You can spend the 3 hours exploring or you can follow the actors around as they perform. David and I did a bit of both. Some of the rooms and floors were really cool, really creepy. All of the performances were stunning and powerful. The woman who played Lady MacBeth and the male lead who played MacBeth were superb. The 3 witches were also a highlight. MacBeth is my fave Shakespeare play so I was in Heaven. I will say that Sleep No More is very loosely based on The Scottish Play but the key scenes are kept intact. I can’t really explain what an amazing experience this show is. You the audience are IN the show. David was taken by a player into a locked room by himself … so we were separated for a bit. It was just really cool. I was hoping to see Sleep No More again on my next visit to NYC in December but, sadly, the show is closing at the end of September. If you get the chance you MUST MUST MUST see this show. It is unlike any theatrical experience that you have likely ever seen. AND you get to keep the creepy masks as a souvenir :D So fun!!

Tonight … David and I are seeing Rent! Rent is one of my fave musicals of all time and the brand new off-Broadway production had its official opening last night so … woo, I’m excited. Afterward, we are planning on hitting up Splash nightclub for some dancey dancey fun so … should be a great night in NYC :)

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Releases A Batch Of Season 3 Promo Photos

Last night David and I were invited to the Hollywood premiere of Warrior starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton and we had THE best time. I have been looking forward to Warrior for months now, mainly because I’ve become a pretty big Hardy fan. But the more I saw of the film, the more convinced I was that it would be a quality film. I’m happy to say that I was not wrong about that assumption. While there have been many movies about “fighters”, this is the first major film about Mixed Martial Arts fighters and that fact alone made it really interesting for me.

Warrior has a lot of the same plot points of other fighter movies but what sets it apart are the fantastic acting performances by Hardy, Edgerton and Nick Nolte (who plays their estranged father) but also the scarily realistic MMA fight scenes. You get a lot of story in this film but you also get a lot of action. While I personally feel that the story gets muddled down a bit with too much stuff going on, it does regulate itself enough to be throughly enjoyable. Normally, I HATE watching fight scenes … I just don’t get any pleasure from them … but I was so engrossed in this film that the brutality didn’t really bother me much. Warrior has a lot of heart … a lot. You end up rooting for everyone. I was very impressed with this film, I think you might too.

Unfortch, David and I didn’t make it to the afterparty … and therefore, were unable to meet Tom Hardy. David flies out to NYC today so we didn’t’ want to stay out too late. Ah well, I’ll stalk meet Tom some other time.

Tonight, my friend Jen and I are going to see Def Leppard and Heart! I’m so excited!! I sincerely hope YOUR Wednesday is just as awesome :D

How to Obtain the Best Stereo Headphones for You Personally

In 1968, the Emmy Awards had created a category called Outstanding Achievement in Daytime Programming, to honor daytime shows that were overlooked during the primetime ceremony. However, the judges rewarded no one that year, concluding that none of the nominees deserved the award. Daytime television programming remained overlooked until the 1972 ceremony, when The Doctors were honored with the very first Best Show Daytime Emmy.

In a word, the advantages of having a traditional lifestyle are much greater than the advantages we gained from the modern one. The whole society has the responsibility of educating young people, whether for the development of the society or for the their individual life. We should have a positive life attitude and a responsible lifestyle. This is my beloved lifestyle.

lithuanian company making blonde fantasy resort island

Unlike LOST, there's nothing mysterious about this island. It's VERY straightforward.

Lithuanian company Olialia has created a business empire, and their newest venture is a "fantasy resort" island in Maldives, which is staffed solely by blondes.

Here's what Olialia brand manager Lauryna Anuseviciute had to say about it:

"Blond is light. It attracts people like sunshine."

And here's more from director of the Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation Simon Hawkins:

"We welcome any serious innovations and investment for discussions so long as it is backed by serious finance with a robust and realistic business plan."

What about fake blondes? Dirty blondes? Platinum blondes? Dirty blondes who dye their hair platinum blonde?

Somehow, we feel like this "fantasy resort" is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

What do U think? Would U want to work and/or play on Blonde Island?

When out and about with the laptop, the VLC media player download may prove the salvation for the busy music enthusiast. This is because this is a soft equivalent of the multiple track plastic carrier only that this kind is more eco-friendly. It is a virtual network, almost like a studio with all the audio-visual icons that one would seek in any g-clef scale machine. This pinpoints to its great synching qualities that are a highlight of its ability to be accessible in a number of electronic devices, with the best installation background being the desktop.
